About this role

The Package Manager ensures proper follow through on equipment packages from pre-PO phase until completion per contractual and project requirements. This role coordinates end-to-end processes including procurement, vendor management, and commissioning. It demands meticulous tracking across all deliverables and obligations.

Day-to-day involves coordinating with Package Buyer to conclude contracts/POs and monitoring vendors for obligations. Responsibilities include arranging stakeholder meetings for technical clarifications, inspections, ITP, testing, and commissioning procedures. Weekly/monthly reports, procurement maps, and vendor variations are also managed.

Collaboration occurs with diverse stakeholders like Owner’s Representative, 3rd Party Inspectors, Project Team, and Vendors. Site visits to local and overseas workshops support inspections and testing. Expediting, delivery, warehousing, preservation, and site installation support are key coordination areas.

The role supports payment milestone tracking, invoice verification, spare parts lists, and final data books submission. Handling guarantee/warranty matters rounds out responsibilities. This position thrives in a fast-paced construction environment focused on offshore projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in any engineering disciplines
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper follow through on equipment packages from pre-PO phase until completion as per contractual and project requirements
  • Coordinate with Package Buyer to conclude the Contract/PO with Package Vendor
  • Monitor and coordinate with Vendor for contractual obligations and deliverables
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for meetings, technical clarification/discussion and inspections
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for ITP, Testing and Commissioning Procedures
  • Monitor and track vendor payment milestones and ensure vendor meets requirements for each
  • Coordinate with Vendor and Expediting Lead for delivery, expediting, receiving, joint inspection, warehousing and preservation
  • Coordinate with Project Team and Vendor for site support for installation, testing and commissioning
