About this role

The Supply Chain Project Manager II leads the strategy, coordination, and delivery of project-related sourcing, purchasing, expediting, logistics, and material management. This role ensures adherence to the project plan, budget, schedule, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Project Execution Plan, and Prime Contract. It serves as the single point of accountability for supply chain execution.

Assigned in a matrix fashion to the Project Management Team (PMT), the SCPM II reports to the Project Director. Responsibilities include regular interface with the PMT, owner, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. The role provides strong leadership over staffing and execution strategy, including procurement awards.

The SCPM II oversees the overall execution to meet contract budget and schedule while maintaining stewardship on corporate processes. It demands decisive project leadership in a customer and market-facing environment. Frequent interactions ensure effective contract execution with vendors and suppliers.

This position requires regular reporting to customers on supply chain progress. It emphasizes proficiency in managing large-scale EPC projects. Opportunities involve leading teams in high-stakes construction environments up to $1B scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or applicable experience
  • 5-10 years of EPC experience on projects up to $1B
  • Experience managing a team of more than 20 individuals
  • Market acumen for a majority of spend categories
  • Proficiency in contract negotiations
  • Expertise in claim management
  • Understanding of supply chain risks components
  • Fluency with project management tools and work processes

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy, coordination, and delivery of project-related sourcing, purchasing, expediting, logistics, and material management
  • Ensure Supply Chain team adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Project Execution Plan, and Prime Contract
  • Report to Project Director and interface with Project Management Team (PMT), owner, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Provide project leadership overseeing staffing and execution strategy, including procurement awards
  • Serve as single point of accountability for project supply chain execution
  • Maintain contract budget and schedule while stewarding corporate processes and procedures
  • Interface regularly with customers for reporting and with vendors/suppliers for contract execution
