About this role
Amazon is seeking a driven EHS Officer to drive health and safety across its fulfillment center in Riyadh. This crucial role reports to the WHS Manager and involves leading site risk assessments for current and new activities. You will establish the site WHS training matrix and implement site-specific standards and guidelines.
You'll promote a safe culture by providing daily WHS content to shift briefings and perform frequent site safety audits to identify non-compliance equipment and processes. Attending to incidents and occupational injuries on site, you will guide area managers on incident investigations and work with Operations to implement solutions that eliminate exposure to risks.
You will report to the Country WHS Manager and collaborate with Operations, participating in site management safety walks and providing insights into unsafe acts and conditions. You'll coordinate with procurement for PPE inventory and ensure alignment with global WHS standards and local regulations, providing daily updates on objectives progress and key safety metrics.
Year-on-year, as Amazon continues to grow, you will play a key role in keeping team members safe, fulfilled, motivated, and empowered. This position offers the chance to implement safety programs and emergency response plans, building expertise in EHS management.
Requirements
- Experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Communication/Instrumentation and Controls.
- Experience in data analysis with ability to interpret and draw insights to inform decision-making.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with safety management software such as Gensuite.
- Knowledge of incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.
- Ability to conduct site safety audits and risk assessments.
- Understanding of local and global WHS standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
