Works on construction projects using carpentry skills to build components such as stairs, partitions, cabinets, molding, windows and doors. Constructs forms and subflooring while working with a variety of construction materials. Uses hand, pneumatic, and power tools along with small machinery.

Maintains all safety standards and identifies, reports or corrects potential hazards. Erects and works on scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level. Loads and unloads materials up to 100 pounds.

Experience in rough and finish carpentry including blocking, frames, doors, hardware, millwork and casework. Proven ability to accurately perform construction activities with power tools and small machinery. Demonstrated success in working safely on projects.

  • Experience in rough and finish carpentry including blocking, frames/doors and hardware, millwork and casework
  • Familiarity with field concepts, practices and procedures
  • Proven ability to accurately perform construction activities including usage of various power tools and small machinery
  • Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
  • Demonstrated success in working safely on projects
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contract documents, safety rules, blueprints/plans
  • Ability to do basic construction math including measuring, calculating cut lengths and basic volumes
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, physical capacity profile, and E-Verify

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all safety standards
  • Build stairs and install partitions
  • Install window frames, doors, doorframes, weather stripping, and basic hardware
  • Install cabinets and molding
  • Erect and work on scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
  • Operate hand and power tools including chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders
  • Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass or drywall
  • Join materials with nails, screws, staples, adhesives, and other applicable tools
