About this role

Lumos & Associates is a leading consulting firm offering multidisciplinary services including civil engineering, structural engineering, surveying and mapping, geotechnical engineering, and construction services. We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our growing Civil Engineering practice.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and support a wide variety of civil engineering projects across multiple sectors, including transportation, water/wastewater, community infrastructure, stormwater, and private development. You will manage projects from planning through design and construction, coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Our team is passionate about improving infrastructure systems, supporting responsible growth, and delivering meaningful projects that make a lasting impact. You will serve as a primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and project partners while providing technical oversight and QA/QC review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive, relevant engineering and project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Valid driver license and driving record with 3 or less demerit points.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects.
  • Solid communication skills, including client interaction and public presentations.
  • Experience developing project budgets and managing financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from planning through design and construction.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and project partners.
  • Provide technical oversight and QA/QC review.
  • Mentor and support early in career staff and project engineers.
  • Assist with business development, including proposals and client relationship management.
  • Contribute to projects such as water distribution and wastewater systems, stormwater and drainage infrastructure, municipal and public works projects, transportation-related projects, and land development.
