About this role

The Construction Manager provides complete project field leadership and direction for day-to-day operations, partnering with the Project Manager. They ensure project success by coordinating vendors and subcontractors per Contract Documents and Project Schedule. Job site safety, logistics, cleanliness, and professionalism are their direct responsibilities.

Daily duties include championing safety via Site-Specific Safety Plan implementation and leading meetings. They create and maintain Project Schedules, monitor logic, develop recovery plans, and lead pull planning. Coordination of site activities mitigates constraints while overseeing quality assurance and trade compliance.

They manage inspections with Authorities Having Jurisdiction, third-party inspectors, and clients. Close collaboration with inter-company field leadership drives efficiencies and best practices. Daily reports, submittal reviews, and jobsite meetings support progress and documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead field operations on large commercial construction projects
  • Expertise in project scheduling, logic relationships, and recovery planning
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and Site-Specific Safety Plans
  • Experience coordinating multiple trade partners, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Familiarity with quality assurance plans, preparatory meetings, and trade compliance
  • Skilled in managing AHJ inspections, third-party oversight, and client coordination
  • Proficiency in submittal processing, material procurement, and daily reporting

Responsibilities

  • Champion project safety by implementing Site-Specific Safety Plan, leading safety meetings, and managing incident investigations
  • Create, maintain, and report Project Schedule, including updates, logic integrity, recovery plans, and pull planning
  • Coordinate all site construction activities to execute Project Schedule and Construction Documents
  • Manage scheduling and attendance at site inspections with AHJs, third-party inspectors, and clients
  • Ensure coordination of installation between trades and drive trade partner progress per Project Schedule
  • Provide field leadership for planning all trades and support construction schedule development
  • Attend jobsite meetings, schedule deliveries, perform site documentation, and support inspections and invoice reviews
  • Monitor and author Daily Reports for accuracy and compliance with Contracts and Project Schedule
