About this role
The Site Agent leads on-site construction operations, planning, directing, and organizing teams including Sub Agents, Senior Foremen, Foremen, and Assistant Foremen. Execution follows approved method statements and programmes to meet project goals. Collaboration with the project manager ensures optimal subcontractor manpower and equipment deployment.
Daily tasks involve arranging progress meetings, preparing short-term working programmes, and supervising subcontractors for timely, budgeted, and quality completions. Review resource needs, method statements with risk assessments, and site constraints to drive efficient operations. Monitor material wastage, construction sequences, equipment use, electricity, and water to minimize losses and double handling.
Work alongside the project manager, Compliance Department, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain partnerships and enforce standards. Conduct quality inspections, self-checks per Quality and Safety Plans, and review daily reports, daywork, and abortive records. Organize site setup, apply for equipment, and perform TCP responsibilities.
Enforce safety regulations, precautionary measures, security, and discipline while directing emergency teams. Inspect materials and subcontractor work for contract compliance. Assist in claims data with time and cost implications, fostering a secure, high-performing site environment.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Building Studies, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent qualification
- TCP T1 or above
- At least 15 years’ relevant site experience in building construction and with 5 years or more holding position as Sub-Agent or above
- Experience reviewing method statements and risk assessments
- Knowledge of quality plans, safety plans and site compliance inspections
- Familiarity with managing site resources, wastage control and subcontractor supervision
Responsibilities

- Arrange progress meetings and manage subcontractors to ensure completion according to budget, programme and quality
- Prepare short term working programme and supervise subcontractors to implement
- Review resources requirements, plan work ahead, examine method statement with risk assessment per site constraints
- Monitor and control material wastage, arrange construction sequence with effective equipment use to minimize wastage and double handling
- Enforce safety regulations and take appropriate precautionary measures
- Liaise with client, consultants and subcontractors to establish and maintain close partnership
