About this role

Civil Science is seeking a driven and experienced Public Works Project Manager to support and grow our public works practice in Utah. This is more than a traditional project management role—it's an opportunity to lead meaningful municipal infrastructure projects that impact communities. You'll build strong relationships with local agencies and stakeholders.

You'll serve as a primary client contact for public works projects across Utah and manage scope, schedule, and budget for multiple active municipal projects. Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure for city, county, and state agencies. Support business development efforts and collaborate to expand backlog.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 8+ years of experience in public works or municipal infrastructure projects
  • Experience with city, county, or DOT clients
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D
  • Experience delivering transportation and public works infrastructure projects
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing environment
  • Ability to travel and meet client needs throughout Utah and potentially in surrounding states

  • Serve as a primary client contact for public works projects across Utah
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget for multiple active municipal projects
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
  • Deliver high-quality infrastructure projects for city, county, and state agencies
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals and client relationship growth
  • Collaborate with leadership to expand backlog and strengthen market presence
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
  • Ensure projects meet quality, risk, and compliance standards
