About this role
Robertson Timber Engineering Ltd is seeking skilled and semi-skilled operatives passionate about craftsmanship to join our timber manufacturing team in Elgin. You will contribute to innovative and sustainable construction projects across the UK as part of the UK’s largest family-owned construction business.
Your daily role involves assisting in the manufacture of timber frame panels, floor cassettes, and roof cassettes to a consistently high standard. You will maintain good housekeeping, report any problems or safety concerns to the Production Manager, and cooperate with colleagues and supervisors.
Our team operates with a backshift pattern from Monday to Wednesday 1500–0130 and Thursday 1500–0030. We are determined to succeed by working collaboratively, focusing on safety, productivity, and quality, and respecting every contribution as one team.

Requirements
- Experience in timber frame, panel, or construction manufacturing is preferred
- Passionate about craftsmanship and eager to contribute to innovative construction projects
- Ability to work backshift hours: Monday–Wednesday 1500–0130, Thursday 1500–0030
- Knowledge of construction industry building standards
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Willingness to undergo training as needed
Responsibilities
- Assist in the manufacture of timber frame panels, floor cassettes, and roof cassettes to a consistently high standard
- Carry out works in accordance with appropriate construction industry building standards
- Maintain good housekeeping within your work area
- Report any job-related problems or issues to the Production Manager / Working Factory Foreman
- Report any accidents or near misses immediately to the Production Manager / Working Factory Foreman
- Cooperate with colleagues, supervisors, and management
- Identify any relevant training needs to the Production Manager
- Ensure awareness of and compliance with Quality and Health & Safety policies and procedures
