About this role
Join Brycon Corporation as a Carpenter Helper in Austin, supporting skilled carpentry on construction projects. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate work. Perform tasks with hand tools for framing and minor demolishing activities.
Daily duties include preparing material takeoffs, constructing and repairing wood, plywood, and wallboard structures. Operate hand and power tools safely while receiving and offloading materials proficiently. Prepare surfaces for paint and other applications as needed.
Work in a dynamic construction environment that may require extended hours beyond 8 per day and weekends. Follow oral and written instructions with a focus on safety awareness and accountability. Collaborate on various fixtures and structures using company equipment.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent desired, and 2 to 3 years experience in skilled carpentry
- Favorable driver’s record/valid license
- Must successfully complete background check and drug/alcohol screening
- Skilled in Reading Writing and Math
- Ability to read Blueprints
- Accuracy detailed oriented organized reliability responsible safety awareness
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Skilled in the use of carpentry power and hand tools

- Prepare material takeoffs
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard

- Receive materials and offload in a safe and proficient manner
- Prepare surfaces for paint and other applications
- Work extended hours more than 8 per day and weekends as required
