About this role

The Senior Construction Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects and facility initiatives. Projects include major renovations, tenant improvements, building system upgrades, deferred maintenance, and new site development. This role ensures projects align with operational needs, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and long-term facility strategies.

Serving as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, facilities operations, external consultants, and contractors, the role delivers projects on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption. Responsibilities encompass developing comprehensive scopes of work, managing project controls, and overseeing construction in occupied facilities. Regular site visits monitor progress, safety, quality, and operational impacts.

Key activities involve coordinating design and construction, reviewing architectural and engineering plans for constructability, and handling FF&E installation. Contractor management includes bid solicitation, performance oversight, and contract administration. Cross-functional collaboration with facilities, IT, security, and business units supports seamless execution.

Proactive risk management balances capital project delivery with day-to-day facility considerations. Strategies mitigate disruptions through outage planning and milestone monitoring. Strong technical expertise drives fiscal accountability, regulatory compliance, and efficient issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Strong technical expertise in construction project management and facility initiatives
  • Proficient in interpreting building codes, zoning ordinances, ADA requirements, and life-safety standards
  • Experience assessing building conditions and incorporating lifecycle and maintenance considerations
  • Skilled in contractor and vendor management, including bid analysis and contract administration
  • Ability to develop project execution plans accounting for operational continuity
  • Proactive risk management with strategies for outages, shutdowns, and phasing
  • Knowledge of cost tracking, change management, and financial reporting for fiscal accountability

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive scopes of work for facilities, infrastructure, and capital improvement projects
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and overall project controls throughout the full lifecycle
  • Coordinate internal and external project design and construction activities for on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Oversee construction activities from initiation through completion in occupied facilities
  • Review architectural, engineering, and MEP designs for constructability and alignment with standards
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend qualified contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with facilities operations, IT, security, and business units
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruption
