About this role

The Assistant Site Manager holds full site responsibility for a world-class Dexterra workforce accommodations facility launching at 500 rooms and scaling to over 4,000. This senior leader provides strategic direction across facilities maintenance, dining and food services, cleaning and housekeeping, and laundry services. The role demands experience managing large, complex hospitality environments with a focus on safety and guest experience.

Daily operations involve providing overall leadership and accountability for site performance while ensuring maximum client and guest satisfaction through high-quality hospitality services. Uphold Dexterra standards for food quality, service consistency, cleanliness, and Health & Safety programs. Deliver financial oversight including revenue forecasting, budget development, and cost control.

Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing, service-driven team through hiring initiatives, onboarding, and performance management in collaboration with Human Resources. Develop staffing plans and schedules aligned with client forecasts and operational demand. Provide clear direction and delegation across all departments for smooth operations.

Act as the primary point of accountability for client relationships and operational outcomes in a fast-growth, high-complexity environment. Ensure profitability through strict adherence to approved budgets. Thrive in scaling operations while maintaining operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive hospitality or accommodations management experience, ideally in large-scale hotels, resorts, workforce accommodations, or comparable environments
  • Held operational leadership roles with accountability for multiple service streams
  • Post-secondary education in business, hospitality, or a related discipline
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue analysis
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and experienced with hospitality or facilities management systems
  • High degree of ownership, empathy, customer service, and responsiveness to guest and client needs
  • Comfortable operating in fast-growth, high-complexity environments and leading teams through scale-up

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and enforce Dexterra standards related to food quality, service consistency, cleanliness, and Health & Safety programs
  • Lead and support hiring initiatives, onboarding, and performance management in collaboration with Human Resources
  • Deliver financial oversight, including revenue forecasting, budget development, and cost control
  • Develop and manage staffing plans and schedules aligned with client forecasts and operational demand
  • Ensure profitability and financial discipline through strict adherence to approved budgets
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for the client relationship and operational outcomes
