About this role
Join Rydon Maintenance as an experienced Maintenance/Repairs Bricklayer with skills in other trades. Work in a mobile role carrying out internal and external upgrades, maintenance, responsive repairs, and void works in residential properties. This full-time permanent position supports a local housing association contract.
Deliver high-quality bricklaying, some plastering, and other maintenance works across residential houses. Responsibilities include brick/blockwork for repairs, pointing, remedial works, plastering ceilings and walls, tiling repairs, mould treating, and painting. Use a company van, fuel card, and PDA to accept jobs, plan schedules, and sign off completed works.
Rydon provides responsive repairs, planned maintenance, voids, and small works for social housing associations and public sector buildings across the UK. The team maintains homes, hospitals, and care homes using the latest technology for efficient, fit-for-purpose properties. Work standard hours from 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

Requirements
- Experience as Maintenance/Repairs Bricklayer with skills in other trades
- City & Guilds/NVQ in relevant trade
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience working within the social housing environment preferred
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with residents
Responsibilities
- Carry out brick/blockwork for repairs, pointing, and remedial works
- Mix, prepare, and apply plaster, render, and finish coats to ceilings and walls
- Undertake repairs to floor and/or wall tiling
- Treat mould to rectify damp
- Perform internal/external painting
- Use company van and fuel card for travel
- Accept jobs, plan schedules, and sign off works using PDA
- Work 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
