About this role

Egis is an international player in architecture, consulting, construction engineering and mobility services. We seek an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for our Cost Management team in Dubai. The role supports delivery of cost management on large-scale, complex construction projects in a multidisciplinary environment.

Prepare, review, and analyze cost estimates and plans across design stages for accuracy and budget alignment. Participate in design development meetings, providing cost input to ensure design-to-budget compliance. Identify and report key cost drivers, risks, and opportunities.

Work under the Lead Quantity Surveyor, managing quantity surveying aspects for cost-effectiveness and standards compliance. Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors for coordinated cost information. Ensure deliverables comply with local regulations, client requirements, and RICS/NRM best practices.

Undertake quantity take-offs, contribute to value engineering, and support contract administration like variations and claims. Monitor project cost performance, forecast expenditures, and assist in commercial negotiations. Provide guidance and mentoring to junior Quantity Surveyors.

Requirements

  • Experience in cost management on large-scale construction projects
  • Proficiency in preparing cost estimates, plans, and quantity take-offs
  • Knowledge of RICS and NRM standards for quantity surveying
  • Skills in value engineering and risk register management
  • Familiarity with contract administration including variations and claims
  • Ability to analyze design stage costs and provide input in multidisciplinary settings
  • Competence in monitoring project cost performance and forecasting

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze cost estimates and cost plans across key design stages
  • Participate in design development meetings and workshops, providing cost input
  • Identify, track, and report key cost drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • Assist in preparation and management of commercial and cost risk registers
  • Undertake detailed quantity take-offs and measurement from drawings and models
  • Contribute to design-led Value Engineering exercises with comparative cost analyses
  • Prepare cost inputs and reports for project steering, governance, and client reporting
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors
