About this role

ISS International S.p.A. is seeking a Site Manager for a utility-scale photovoltaic project in Sardinia, near Oristano. The role involves operational management of a medium-sized solar plant, including grid connection works, within a broader renewable energy development program spanning the provinces of Oristano and Cagliari.

Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating all on-site construction activities, supervising subcontractors, and monitoring progress against project schedules. The Site Manager will oversee civil, mechanical, and electrical works, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.

This role serves as the primary on-site interface with the Project Manager, Works Director, HSE team, suppliers, and other site stakeholders. The Site Manager also supports documentation management, progress reporting, and the final commissioning and testing phases of the plant.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension based on project needs. The position offers the opportunity to work on a key renewable energy infrastructure project in Sardinia, contributing to Italy's energy transition.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as Site Manager, Construction Manager, Capo Cantiere, or similar role
  • Experience on industrial, plant engineering, photovoltaic, renewable energy, or infrastructure construction sites
  • Knowledge of site coordination dynamics, contractor management, and work progress tracking
  • Ability to read and interpret technical project documentation
  • Strong organizational, operational, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to quality, timelines, safety, and field activity coordination
  • Willingness to work on-site in the Norbello area, Sardinia

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational activities on the construction site
  • Supervise executing companies and verify work progress
  • Control correct execution of civil, mechanical, and electrical works as per project specifications
  • Interface with Project Manager, Works Director, HSE, suppliers, and site stakeholders
  • Monitor compliance with timelines, quality standards, technical specifications, and applicable procedures
  • Support management of site documentation, reporting, and work progress tracking
  • Oversee HSE activities and verify adherence to safety procedures
  • Support completion, testing, and commissioning phases of the plant

Benefits

  • Indicative annual salary (RAL) between €25,000 and €35,000

  • Full-time presence on site, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week with possible Saturday work
