About this role

VP Supply Corp is a leading wholesale distributor of HVAC, plumbing, and industrial supplies serving contractors, engineers, and commercial customers. The company seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee installation and commissioning of LG commercial and industrial chiller equipment and associated HVAC systems including centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers.

This field-based role manages all phases of LG chiller projects on-site from handoff through closeout. The Project Manager maintains detailed schedules, coordinates delivery logistics with LG, and oversees installation quality for pipe fitting, refrigerant line sets, and chilled-water loop integration.

The successful candidate spends the majority of the workweek at active job sites coordinating directly with general contractors, engineers, LG factory representatives, and end customers. Daily activities include participating in on-site coordination of foremen, technicians, and subcontractors such as electrical, controls, insulation, rigging, and crane teams.

Key duties also cover managing commissioning and startup with LG factory service technicians, processing RFIs, and handling project closeout including punch list resolution, O&M manuals, owner training, and warranty documentation while following OSHA 30 safety standards.

Requirements

5+ years of project management experience in commercial or industrial HVAC, with direct experience on chiller installations or replacements.
Working knowledge of chilled-water systems: centrifugal, screw, absorption, and scroll chillers; LG Multi V VRF; cooling towers; primary/secondary pumping; and BAS/controls integration.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.
Proven track record managing projects in the $10M–$100M range, on schedule and on budget.
Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or equivalent).
OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to and work from job sites daily.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of LG chiller projects on-site.
Maintain detailed project schedules and resource plans; track progress against milestones and report variances.
Coordinate delivery logistics with the manufacturer (LG) including rigging, staging, and site access planning.
Participate in daily/weekly on-site coordination of foremen, technicians, and subcontractors.
Review mechanical drawings, submittals, shop drawings, and equipment specifications; coordinate with engineers on RFIs.
Oversee installation quality including pipe fitting, refrigerant line sets, glycol systems, and chilled-water loop integration.
Manage commissioning and startup activities in coordination with LG factory service technicians and controls contractor.
Manage project closeout: punch list resolution, O&M manuals, owner training, and warranty documentation.
