Your day-to-day involves guiding the construction and installation of electro-optical test stations from concept through commissioning. You develop and maintain comprehensive equipment documentation, including schematics and maintenance procedures, and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment construction, maintenance, or manufacturing engineering
  • Hands-on experience building and troubleshooting electrical/optical test stations
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Guide the construction and installation of electro-optical test stations from concept through commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive equipment documentation, including schematics and maintenance procedures.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for test and assembly equipment.
  • Support assembly equipment for packaged photonic integrated circuits (TROSAs) through alignment and tooling.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for equipment procurement and integration.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure equipment meets performance specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and safety.
  • Train and mentor technicians on equipment operation and troubleshooting.
