Safely, accurately, and efficiently operate various pieces of heavy equipment on job sites. Perform routine maintenance including cleaning up around the site, conducting regular inspections, lubricating, and general upkeep to keep machinery in safe working condition. Assist in loading and unloading materials as required.
Follow all safety protocols, adhere to regulations, obey traffic laws, and actively participate in weekly safety meetings like Tool Box Talks. Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, defects, accidents, or violations promptly to supervisors. Work closely with crew members displaying a professional and courteous attitude.
The work environment involves outdoor job sites in extreme weather, high noise, dirt, grease, dust, and near heavy equipment and moving machinery. Be willing to travel, work nights and weekends when necessary, and report ready in proper work attire and PPE including steel-toed footwear and safety glasses. Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous experience helping operate or working around heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- CDL preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening and testing
- Strict adherence to safety requirements, procedures, and PPE policies
- Willing to travel and work away from home, nights, and weekends when required
Responsibilities
