About this role
An opportunity for a Building & Construction Engineer / Architect has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe. The selected candidate will join the Building Construction Team inside the Facility Management Real Estate department.
FMRE drives ESG policies in facilities, executes civil works, manages energy supply, infrastructure maintenance, and corporate space design. The role requires a versatile profile that supports functions both inside and outside traditional building scope as workloads demand.
The position is primarily on-site in Getafe with occasional travel to other Airbus sites in Spain. It involves managing end-to-end civil works projects while applying strict safety and quality standards across all activities.
The role offers the chance to integrate sustainability concepts into designs and operations while controlling project finances and schedules. Candidates will apply the Airbus Leadership Model to build trustful and inclusive team environments.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or Architecture with a strong building background (Level EQF7 / MECES 3 Máster Habilitante).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction and/or infrastructure projects with mandatory experience as field engineer or technical project manager.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels and team-focused mindset with commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Negotiation / High level of English is mandatory.
- Strong project management skills, technical management, Quality Assurance, CapEx/OpEx financial control, R&O management, and planning scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver end-to-end civil works and infrastructure projects ensuring compliance with strict safety and quality standards.
- Design and optimize efficient facility layouts and office spaces aligned with corporate operational needs.
- Oversee construction sites and technical operations executing rigorous procedure follow-ups and quality assurance protocols.
- Integrate and apply ESG concepts into all building designs, construction projects, and facility operations.
- Control project finances and schedules by managing CapEx/OpEx budgets, tracking timelines, and conducting R&O management.
