Plant Operator

In the position of Plant Operator, your responsibilities will include manufacturing asphaltic products, loading/offloading trucks, preventative maintenance, and other general labour duties at the Brampton Terminal. You will follow all standard operating procedures and policies established by the McAsphalt Operations department. This role supports production in a specialized asphaltic facility.

Day-to-day tasks involve general housekeeping and warehousing, packaging products in drums, boxes, or pails, and assisting with polymer production and solution preparation. You will load and unload trucks, perform dipping tanks, and handle preventative maintenance as assigned. All activities adhere to safety procedures and operational guidelines.

Expect rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime, with a seasonal schedule that may include temporary winter layoff. The facility environment demands strict adherence to safety protocols amid physical demands like extended standing, lifting materials, and hands-on labour. Positive attitude and teamwork are essential in this setting.
