About this role
International Towers, Inc (ITL), part of the S&K Technologies, Inc. Family of Companies, seeks a Construction Manager to support increased contract construction work. This role oversees projects up to $20 million in scope, ensuring timely and efficient completion using company or outsourced resources.
Day-to-day, the Construction Manager creates three-week look-ahead schedules, manages daily reports on completed work and delays, and tracks materials delivered. They take pictures to check completeness and quality of finished products, and are responsible for subcontractor quality, scheduling, production, and tracking.
The Construction Manager coordinates priorities with Program Managers and Project Managers while managing 1-5 subordinate supervisors (Foremen), each overseeing 1-8 crewmembers. They ensure safety across the entire project and support preparation of scopes of work for subcontractors, including change orders and design feasibility reviews.
This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects in a fast-paced, continually changing environment. While primarily on-site and office-based, certain administrative and coordination tasks may be performed remotely as business needs allow, following S&K Telecommuting guidelines.
Requirements
- Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with ability to meet strict deadlines
- Self-directed and results-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, continually changing environment
- Ability to oversee all project phases for projects up to $20 million in size
- Proficient in reading, comprehending, and interpreting site plans, construction drawings, and scopes of work
- Experience directing mobilization, demobilization, and work tasks of crews, equipment, and materials
- Ability to produce daily/production reports and track delays, schedule variances, and workforce utilization
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle
- Experience managing subcontractor quality, scheduling, and production
Responsibilities
- Oversee all project phases for projects up to $20 million in size
- Create and update three-week look-ahead schedules of activities
- Direct mobilization, demobilization, and work tasks of crews, equipment, and materials
- Produce daily/production reports tracking delays, schedule variances, impacts, and workforce and equipment utilization
- Manage subcontractor quality, scheduling, production, and tracking
- Ensure safety of the entire project and assist in producing Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA’s)
- Read, comprehend, and interpret site plans, construction drawings, scopes of work, and project deliverables
- Coordinate priorities and timely project completion with Program Managers, Project Managers, and subcontractors
