Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and tools
  • Ability to read gauges, meters, and technical manuals
  • Physical ability to lift equipment and work in various conditions
  • Understanding of safety protocols in industrial settings
  • Basic math skills for process calculations and measurements
  • Willingness to obtain wastewater operator certification

Responsibilities

  • Monitor control panels, gauges, and meters to oversee wastewater treatment processes
  • Operate pumps, valves, motors, and chemical feed systems
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on plant equipment
  • Collect samples and conduct tests for water quality control
  • Maintain accurate logs of operational data and process adjustments
  • Respond to alarms and troubleshoot minor equipment issues
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety procedures
  • Clean treatment areas and assist in plant startups and shutdowns
