Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and tools
Ability to read gauges, meters, and technical manuals
Physical ability to lift equipment and work in various conditions
Understanding of safety protocols in industrial settings
Basic math skills for process calculations and measurements
Willingness to obtain wastewater operator certification

Responsibilities

Monitor control panels, gauges, and meters to oversee wastewater treatment processes
Operate pumps, valves, motors, and chemical feed systems
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on plant equipment
Collect samples and conduct tests for water quality control
Maintain accurate logs of operational data and process adjustments
Respond to alarms and troubleshoot minor equipment issues
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety procedures
Clean treatment areas and assist in plant startups and shutdowns
