This position focuses on producing consistent, high-quality ready-mix concrete.

You will operate and actively control the batch plant system while monitoring and adjusting proportions of materials like aggregates, cement, water, and admixtures based on mix designs, moisture, and weather. Analyze variations in the batching process and make real-time adjustments load to load. Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, and plant personnel for efficient production.

The role is based at a ready-mix concrete plant, involving work in a control room and outdoor industrial settings. Expect exposure to noise, dust, varying weather, and moving equipment, with personal protective equipment required. Safety remains a top priority.

Requirements

Strong ability to monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot industrial batching or mixing processes, not just operate a machine
Experience working in ingredient-based production where quality depends on proper mixing and proportion control
Understanding of safety and quality control practices in a plant environment
Comfort using computer systems (SAP, Command Alkon, Marcotte) or automated batching controls in a production setting
A proactive, problem-solving mindset to adapt to fast-paced and variable conditions

Responsibilities

Operate and actively control the batch plant system to produce consistent, high-quality ready-mix concrete
Monitor and adjust proportions of materials (aggregates, cement, water, and admixtures) based on mix design requirements, moisture levels, and changing conditions such as weather
Analyze variations in the batching process and make real-time adjustments from load to load to maintain product quality
Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, and plant personnel to ensure efficient and accurate production
Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of batching and plant equipment
Maintain accurate batching, moisture, and production records while following safety, quality, and environmental standards
