About this role

Join Boral's Asphalt Manufacturing team as a Plant Operator on afternoon and night shifts. You will be at the heart of asphalt production processes, ensuring the plant runs smoothly and efficiently. Operate and maintain machinery, monitor production metrics, and troubleshoot issues that arise.

Your day will involve accurate batching of orders to specified mix designs and utilizing the docket dispatch system. Perform Front-end Loader and Bobcat operations, along with Control Room duties. Handle day-to-day administration including stock control of raw materials.

Work closely with the laboratory team while participating in safety initiatives like pre-starts, toolboxes, and incident reporting. Maintain general yard and plant housekeeping in a collaborative team environment. Focus on on-site quality assurance, dispatch, loading trucks, and record keeping.

Requirements

  • Relevant batching and/or asphalt industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Front End Loader expertise favourable; training can be offered
  • FEL ticket desirable
  • Forklift, EWP, Confined Space tickets beneficial
  • Strong commitment to safety and the environment
  • Superior customer focus
  • Strong organisational skills including ability to multitask and prioritise competing deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch and load trucks using the docket dispatch system
