About this role
As a Plant Operator, you will work as part of a team to ensure the overall operation of the terminal. This includes receipt and shipment of products, manufacturing of asphalt products, inspection and record keeping, and equipment maintenance. You will also test products for compliance with specifications and internal QC.
Daily tasks involve receiving and shipping raw materials, asphalt, and emulsion products, along with CM and MC loading. Assist in loading and unloading hot asphalt for trucks, operate pumps, valves, motors, and feeders. Maintain plant inspections, records, and perform quality control testing.
Follow all safety policies, diagnose operating problems, and perform maintenance on equipment like pumps and valves. Expect heavy manual labor, general facility maintenance including cleaning and painting, and grounds duties. Work nights and weekends as needed in outdoor conditions with PPE.

Assist federal, state, local, and private authorities in building reliable pavements with safety and environmental standards. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous production/maintenance experience in refined products terminal, production facilities, or oil/gas industry preferred
- Basic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge
- Proficient computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather with PPE
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and shift work
Responsibilities
- Receive and ship raw materials, asphalt, and emulsion products
- Manufacture asphalt products
- Conduct dispatching duties and maintain relations with vendors
- Perform CM Loading (Multi-grade) and MC Loading
- Assist in loading and unloading hot asphalt for trucks
- Maintain and update plant operations inspections and recordkeeping documents
- Operate and adjust plant pumps, valves, motors, feeders, and other equipment
- Perform quality control testing and diagnose operating problems
